Taste of Chicago 2015 draws 1.4 million people

The 35th annual Taste of Chicago is wrapping up in Grant Park Sunday after another successful run with hundreds of vendors, thousands of people and free live music.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An estimated 1.4 million people turned out for the 35th annual Taste of Chicago in Grant Park.



The five-day festival featured more than 200 menu items from 60 food vendors, including food trucks. The mayor's office released a breakdown of just how hungry food-lovers were this year.



To name a few, Billy Goat Tavern sold about 15,000 of their famous Cheeseborgers, Lou Malnati's dished up 35,500 slices of pizza, Eli's Cheesecake served nearly 40,000 slices of cheesecake and Carbon Live Fire Mexican Grill sold 71,000 tacos.
