Teen killed in possible Calumet City drive-by shooting, police say

CALUMET CITY, Ill. -- A teenager was fatally shot in what police say was a possible drive-by shooting in the south suburbs.

Calumet City police say 19-year-old Ernez Gross was shot in the 600-block of Douglas Avenue sometime before 10:30 p.m. Friday.

The circumstances and motive behind the shooting are unclear as Major Crimes Task Force continues investigating the incident.

No one is in custody.
