GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- Two people were found shot to death inside a vehicle early Sunday morning in northwest Indiana.
The car was found parked in an alley in the 700 block of Jefferson Street in Gary.
When officers arrived around 3:30 Sunday morning, they discovered the two lifeless bodies.
Police say 32-year-old Tenika Ewing was found in the driver's seat and 38-year-old Alex McKenney was found in the passenger seat with multiple gunshot wounds.
"Nobody had called in that they heard shots fired, so we really don't know as far as when it happened. We just know that later on, a concerned citizen contacted us and let us know that there was a vehicle, and it looked suspicious where it was in the alley."
Relatives of Ewing tell ABC7 Eyewitness News that Ewing was a hair dresser who worked out of people's homes and was a member of the City of Praise Church.
