Police knew about storm before deadly Wood Dale tent collapse, report says

WOOD DALE, Ill. (WLS) -- There is new information about a deadly tent collapse in suburban Wood Dale. A police report indicates law enforcement knew the storm was coming, yet failed to evacuate the festival last August.

Stephen Nincic, 35, died when the tent came down during Prairie Fest.

The family of an 81-year-old woman also claim injuries from that storm led to her death just a few weeks ago. Both families have filed lawsuits.
