CHICAGO (WLS) -- Replicas of the iconic Chinese terracotta warriors are hitting Chicago streets on Wednesday.

The Field Museum, where 10 of the real terracotta warriors are currently on display, is using social media to engage the public with the #SpotAWarrior hashtag.

The museum's social media accounts already feature the statues holding a Chicago-style hot dog, visiting SUE the T. rex, on the field at Soldier Field and in front of Adler Planetarium.

To follow the warriors' excursions around the city and receive clues about upcoming locations, follow @FieldMuseum on Twitter.

The warriors are some of the 8,000 terracotta statues that guard the first emperor of China who died over 2,000 years ago.

The real warriors are on display until Jan. 8, 2017.
