CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thanksgiving is coming up on Nov. 26 and that means families around the country will be joining each other at the dinner table.
To make your gathering special, Vanille Patisserie in Chicago is offering traditional pies. The restaurant only offers its select pies once a year. You must order by Sunday, Nov. 22. The desserts are $27.95 or $49.95 for two. You can pick them up from Vanille Patisserie at 2108 N. Clark St.

RECIPE: Traditional Pecan Pie
Ingredients:
Your favorite pie or tart shell recipe (or pre-made shell)
1/2 cup butter melted
1 cup sugar
3 eggs beaten
3/4 cup dark syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup whole pecans
Preparation:
Bake pie shell for about 10-12 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool.
Mix above ingredients and fill partially baked shell 15 minutes at 400 degrees then 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees or until set.
