Thunderstorms leave damage in Central Illinois

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago area missed out on some thunderstorms that left behind serious damage in Central Illinois.

In Champaign-Urbana heavy winds knocked down trees and power lines.

There is also storm damage on the University of Illinois campus due to fallen trees. Workers are removing some downed trees at a cemetery as well.
