Students at Tinley Park High School are well-rounded and diverse. Not only do they challenge themselves academically, but...

They are leaders: One student planned a district-wide teen leadership summit last winter, and two others created a program to transition our feeder grade school students to the high school environment.

They are athletes: We provide a wide-range of athletics for our students. Our cheerleaders as well as our dance team were state qualifiers last year. Two of our wrestlers were all-state.

They participate in fundraisers such as St. Baldrick's, the American Cancer Society, and Special Olympics to name just a few.

They contribute to clothing and canned good drives and hold blood drives annually.

They volunteer for events such as anti-bullying walks, breakfasts for veterans, and the Feed My Starving Children Foundation.

Tinley Park High School opened in 1961 with a student enrollment of 685 and 31 staff members. Enrollment for this 2015-16 school year is 1,222.

The first graduating class was in June 1964. Many generations of families continue to attend and raise their families in the community.

Tinley Park is one of four high schools in District 228. District-wide enrollment for this 2015-16 school year is 5,184.

School colors are scarlet and gold.
