Funeral held for Tito Rodriguez

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Family, friends and fellow officers said their goodbyes Saturday at the funeral for Chicago police officer Tito Rodriguez.

He was remembered as someone who always tried to do the right thing. Rodriguez was killed in a motorcycle accident last Sunday while on his way to work.

Loved ones say the 28-year old was incredibly excited when he joined the police department last year. According to a family friend who spoke to Rodriguez two weeks ago, he was still excited about the work.

The other driver involved in the crash that killed Rodriguez was cited with making an improper lane change and not having valid insurance.
