Memorial Day 2014 travel: Heavy traffic on all expressways leaving Chicago

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Apparently, many Chicagoans are already hitting the road to begin their Memorial Day weekend.

On Friday afternoon, heavy traffic was reported along all major expressways leaving downtown Chicago, including I-90, I-290, I-55 and I-94.

Commuters are advised to leave plenty of extra time to arrive at their destination.
