TSA fee increase raises prices of airline tickets

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Airline passengers started paying more for airport security on Monday. Transportation Security Administration fees went up.

Travelers taking non-stop flights or who have long layovers will take the biggest hit. Customers currently pay $2.50 for a non-stop flight or $5 for a connecting flight. But soon it'll be $5.60 for all flights, and any connection longer than four hours will count as a separate flight.
