Artists team with survivors to fight cancer
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Online support community Twist Out Cancer helps cancer patients and their families through the difficult times that often accompany a cancer diagnosis. Now, you can help support the group through a new art exhibit and gala. Brushes with Cancer pairs artists with survivors to create for a cause. The exhibition with will be unveiled on September 9, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Revel Fulton Market. It features work from 100 cancer survivors and artists from across the country. The evening will include cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, live music. Founder and executive director of Twist Out Cancer, Jenna Benn Shersher and breast cancer survivor Grace Lombardo sat down with ABC 7 Eyewitness News to talk about the upcoming event and how you can be a part of it.
