Marine for Life group hosts networking lunch for veterans

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago-area businessmen are coming together to give some American heroes a helping hand.

The veterans group Marine for Life helped organize a networking lunch Thursday at Gibson's Bar and Steakhouse.

U.S. Marine vet and local business owner Eric Lazar spoke to the group beforehand.

The event gave young marines an opportunity to get job tips, coaching and even some new contacts as they get used to life outside of the service.
