Chicago Bark-BQ Bash collects donations for local animal rescues

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A charity barbecue is raising a paw to help shelter pups find new, loving homes.

On Sunday, July 26, RK9 Training will host its Chicago Bark-BQ Bash!

The fundraiser brings dog lovers together to collect donations for shelter dogs and help them find loving families.

It all benefits two local animal rescues Chitown Pitties and One Tail at a Time.

Organizers Kelly Weekly and Rosa Lugardo joined ABC7, along with Cinderblock Sue, to discuss on Sunday.
