Kane County mosquitoes test positive for West Nile virus

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- Two batches of mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile virus in Kane County.

The mosquitoes were collected near Aurora and Montgomery, according to Kane County health officials.

Last month, a batch of mosquitoes collected near Elburn also tested positive for the disease.

The Illinois Dept. of Public Health reports there are no human cases of West Nile virus in the state.
