Willowbrook teen pleads guilty to hate crime in attack on Sikh man

DARIEN, Ill. (WLS) -- A suburban teenager accused of beating a Sikh man has pleaded guilty to a hate crime.

The 17-year-old from Willowbrook entered that plea on December 7. The confrontation happened in September along a road in Darien.

Inderjit Mukker said the teen was cutting him off and calling him a "terrorist."

Prosecutors said when they both pulled over, the teen punched Mukker in the face. He had a broken cheekbone and cuts that required stitches.
