TOWSON, Md. -- Baltimore County police say a vehicle has rammed a television station and there may be an armed person inside the building.
In a tweet, station WMAR-TV identified the vehicle as a dump truck and said people should stay away from the building, off a busy road north of Baltimore.
Police spokeswoman Cpl. Cathy Batton says the vehicle hit the station just before noon Tuesday.
A hole the size of several garage doors could be seen in the front of the building Tuesday afternoon. Police officers were on the scene, and news helicopters hovered above. Drivers were still able to enter a neighboring shopping center, although a section of the road was blocked to traffic.
