State's Attorney Devine endorses successor
Devine is retiring after three terms and more than 11 years in office.
Six Democrats and one Republican are vying to replace him. Milan has worked in the state's attorneys office for 21 years.
The other Democrats running are Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin, Chicago Aldermen Tom Allen and Howard Brookins,Tommy Brewer, and another Devine assistant, third in command Anita Alvarez.
The lone Republican in the race is Cook County Commissioner Tony Peraica.
