Oprah sells Harpo Studios complex in West Loop

March 15, 2014 (CHICAGO)

The deal allows Winfrey's production company to continue working out of the space for at least another two years. Harpo Studios was home to the Oprah Winfrey Show until it went off the air nearly three years ago. Since then it's housed production for Oprah's OWN network.

A Chicago real estate investment firm called Sterling Bay purchased the property for an undisclosed amount. Sterling Bay also owns buildings that are home to Google, Sara Lee, and Starbucks' Midwest headquarters.
