Chicago Sinfonietta Presents: "Identities"

May 10, 2014 The Chicago Sinfonietta is inviting you to feel culture and tradition in its final concerts of the season. "Identities" is a musical juxtaposition between the Silk Road-connected cultures of Eastern European Jews and the Chinese. The program features the premiere of two new concertos, one for Klezmer Band and one for guzheng, a Chinese folk instrument. ABC 7 Eyewitness News is a media sponsor. Jim Hirsch, executive director, Chicago Sinfonietta, and Ilya Levinson, composer, came into our studio to tell us about the concerts.
