100 Club of Chicago honors police officers, firefighters

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The 36th annual Valor Awards were held Tuesday evening to honor Chicago area police officers and firefighters who went above the call of duty.

The 100 Club of Chicago honored 12 individuals for putting their lives on the line to keep others safe.

This year's honorees include firefighter Joseph Martinelli, Sgt. Michael Cavanaugh, Officer Michael Bunyon, Officer Ryan Krolikowski, Officer Ivan Romo, Officer Eric Wicencyjusz, Officer Michael Guzman, firefighter Juan Lopez, firefighter Reid Mammoser, Lake County Sheriff's Deputy Jonathan Cashmore and Capt. Matthew G. Berk, of the Flossmoor Fire Department.
