Chicago police have charged a teenager in connection with an arson on Chicago's North Side that displaced six residents and killed two dogs.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have charged a teenager in connection with an arson on Chicago's North Side that displaced six residents and killed two dogs.

Police said a 17-year-old boy is charged with eight felony counts of aggravated arson in connection with a fire in the 1900-block of W. Diversey on Nov. 10.

It's not clear if police believe this teenager is responsible for a string of recent arsons in Lakeview.

Police were looking for an arson suspect believed to be as young as 10 years old.
