CTA Brown, Purple Line train service disrupted for person on tracks
CTA Brown and Purple Line trains were standing at Sedgwick near North Avenue Wednesday afternoon for a person on the tracks, Chicago authorities said.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- CTA trains were stopped Wednesday afternoon on the city's North Side after an unauthorized person was on the tracks.

As of Wednesday evening, Brown and Purple Line trains continued to bypass the Sedgwick stop near North Avenue in Old Town, the CTA said.

Shuttle buses were available between Southport and Clark/Lake, the CTA said.

The CTA said there was a "medical emergency on the tracks."

Chopper7 was over the scene as first responders appeared to move a woman from the train tracks to a CTA platform.
