Man injured after crash with train in Harvey

HARVEY, Ill. (WLS) -- A man is in the hospital after a crash between his vehicle and a train in Harvey, police say.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. Sunday at 148th and Ashland when the man was allegedly trying to go around the crossing guards, police said.

The car flew about 30 feet and rescue teams had to cut him out.

His condition has not been released.
