CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago park considered a masterpiece will be getting an upgrade thanks to more than $1 million in state funding.

Governor Pat Quinn and Mayor Rahm Emanuel made the announcement Saturday at Columbus Park on the West Side.

It's the creation of Jens Jensen, a man known as the dean of prairie style landscape architecture.

The North Berwyn Park District will receive $1.8 million for a community recreation center.
