Woman, 27, abducts biological children from West Side home, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 27-year-old woman has taken her two young biological children without permission of their legal guardian on the city's West Side, police say.

Denise Runles allegedly abducted 7-year-old Dekaylah and 2-year-old Damarrion Runles on the 100-block of North Lotus Avenue in the Austin neighborhood without legal authority and did not return them, police said.

Police think Runles may take the children to the area of 7600 S. Kingston or to a shelter. She was last seen around 9 p.m. Friday wearing white hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and long braided extensions, and is described as having a red mark on her forehead and a mole on her right cheek.

Anyone who may have seen the woman and children, or has any information regarding their whereabouts, is asked to call Chicago police.
