'Shelter Shiver' raises money for homeless animals

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Alive Rescue hosted its ninth annual Shelter Shiver at North Avenue Beach Sunday.

Participants dove into the freezing Lake Michigan water - or took a "chicken dip" - to raise money for homeless animals.

The event raised more than $90,000.
