Lake County, Ill., launches new lost pets website

LAKE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- The Animal Care and Control program in Lake County, Ill., has launched a web page to help people locate lost pets.

People can send in photos of missing pets, or pets that have been found, along with physical descriptions and where they were lost, which will then be posted on the site. Lake County officials are careful to note that none of the animals on the website are currently housed at Animal Care and Control.
