Pedestrian killed in Antioch crash

ANTIOCH, Ill. (WLS) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in suburban Antioch Monday evening, officials said.

At about 5:15 p.m., the fire department responded to the 400-block of Route 173.

A nurse was nearby and began performing CPR on the victim, but the person died at the scene.

The age and gender of the victim was not immediately known.
