Peterson insists he is engaged

February 3, 2009 In an interview Monday on the CBS Early Show, 24-year-old Christina Raines denied she and Peterson were ever engaged and said it was all just a publicity stunt.

But on Tuesday Drew Peterson was on WLS-AM's Mancow and Cassidy show. He said he and Raines were engaged and that she had become a part of his family.

Meanwhile, Raines' father, Edward, told ABC7 on Tuesday that his daughter was confused during her interview on CBS and that she and Peterson were engaged.

Peterson is considered a suspect in the 2007 disappearance of his 23-year-old wife Stacy. Police are treating the case as a homicide.

Peterson has denied wrong-doing and insists that his wife left him for another man.
