The bus reportedly rear-ended a semi-truck.
The tour bus was traveling east on Interstate 80 when it struck the back of the semi near West Shepley Road about 6:20 a.m., according to an Illinois State Police Joliet District sergeant.
The crash forced State Police to shut down one lane of eastbound Interstate 80 to allow emergency equipment clear the crash.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
