"These are good citizens they give back to the community, the WNBA, not just here, but around the country. You can see all the students recognizing the ball players it's just amazing," said Mayor Daley.
After the ribbon cutting, the Chicago Sky hosted a clinic for the Hirsch girls varsity basketball team.
Players from three elementary schools also got a chance to take part in the fun.
