White House staff, local community leaders and experts on fatherhood spoke on Wednesday night and audience members say it's an important conversation.
"Obama touch on a lot of thing and in the campaign. He spoke about doing this kind of thing. Good to see he followed through on it. I'm going to try to get as much information out of the program to help myself be a better father than what I am," said Lamont Burr, father of six.
The effort began on Father's Day weekend when President Obama hosted an event at the White House. On Wednesday, he appeared on videotape talking about building healthier families.
