ABC7's Michelle Gallardo spoke with Jenne' Fromm, the spokesperson for the 3-day, about the walk Sunday morning at Winnemac Park on the city's North Side.
Jenne' said there were 1,800 walkers participating and more than 400 volunteer crew members assisting with the logistics of the event.
The Chicago event is expected to raise about $5-million for breast cancer research. Each walker commits to raising at least $2,300 in addition to walking the 60-miles over 3-days.
Chicago is the third stop on the 15 city tour of the event.
