Inside, authorities say they found 26 weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. The weapons included rifles, shotguns, revolvers and semi-automatic handguns.
Investigators are checking the registrations of the guns and plan to check if any of them have been used in crimes.
"Every gun we get off the street, in my book, saves a life. So on the average we take as much as we can. That's what we're here for. We're the gun task force, that's what we do everyday," said Sgt. John Lucid, Chicago Police Department.
The house was empty at the time of the raid.
