Kellogg changes cereal ads

A cereal maker is changing health claims on a cereal marketed to children.

Kellogg has agreed to new advertising restrictions, which resolves a Federal Trade Commission investigation into the health claims of Rice Krispies cereal.

Kellogg's ad claims that Rice Krispies benefits the immune system of children.

This is the second time the FTC has taken action against Kellogg for health claims. Last year, the organization accused Kellogg of making a false claim that Frosted Mini-Wheats improved children's attentiveness.
