Battle: Los Angeles star Cory Hardrict

The big-budget Sony movie debuts on March 11 nation-wide. The 31-year-old rising star is one of the main characters involved. He works alongside Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez as soldiers fighting to combat an alien invasion. Hardrict has aslo been busy working with his wife on the reality show "Tia and Tamera Take 2". It stars his wife Tia and her twin sister Tamera Mowry and airs on the Style Network.

BIO

CORY HARDRICT started his career in the late 1990s with appearances in popular American sitcoms, Smart Guy and ER.

The Chicago-born actor went onto make his big screen debut in the 1999 romantic comedy Never Been Kissed starring Drew Barrymore.

In 2007, and after landing several supporting film and TV roles, the 31-year-old joined the cast of successful family series, Lincoln Heights. In the same year he executively produced and starred in the thriller, Neighbourhood Watch. This was followed by a cameo role in the Golden Globe nominated film, Gran Torino – a 2008 film directed, produced and starring Clint Eastwood. Gran Torino gained critical and commercial success, grossing over $260 million (£162m) worldwide. Later that year he also appeared as R&B star Brandy's love interest in the music video for her number 1 billboard hit, Right Here (Departed).

He married fellow actress, Tia Mowry (Sister Sister, The Game) in 2008 after a seven-year courtship and the couple are expecting their first child later this year.

In 2009 Cory starred alongside his wife and her twin sister, Tamera Mowry in the film, Hollywood. They reunited on screen when Cory made a guest appearance on the hit show, The Game, of which Tia stars.

In March 2011, Cory will star in the film, Battle: Los Angeles alongside an impressive list of stars, which include actors Aaron Eckhart (Erin Brockovich, The Dark Knight), Michelle Rodriguez (Avatar, Fast & Furious) and R&B singer Ne-Yo. In the action-packed Sci-Fi, directed by Jonathan Liebesman (Rings, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) and based on true events, Cory plays the character of 'Corporal Lockett,' a young soldier who must protect Los Angeles from a deadly attack. Battle: Los Angeles is expected to exceed it $100 million (£62m) budget when it hits screens around the world.

Cory said of his biggest role to date: "This movie is an event! Fans of Sci-Fi, action, war dramas are going to go crazy over Battle: Los Angeles. If you love real stories that touch your soul, but still keep you on the edge of your seat, this is the movie for you."
