Interim Chicago Police Supt. Terry Hillard is reportedly making changes to the department that were put in place by his predecessor, Jody Weis.

The Sun-Times is reporting that Hillard is considering moving police officers from the specialized units, such as the 260-member Mobile Strike Force, and putting them on the beat.

Hillard is also looking at making changes to the department's command structure.

Chicago Mayor Richard Daley appointed Hillard three weeks ago after Weis stepped down at the end of his contract.
