Darius Jones, 20, died at a hospital following the shooting in the 8100-block of South Winchester. Neighbors heard the gunshots and tried to help Jones.
"We jumped to the floor. We noticed that someone was lying on the ground -- it was Darius. We ran to the corner, trying to encourage him to stay breathing. I called the police."
Jones was a graduate of Bogan High School.
Witnesses say Jones knew who shot him, and gave that person's name to police before his death.
