On Sunday night, he reminisced with Herb Kent of WVON, where Cornelius once worked as a deejay prior to creating "Soul Train." He also served as the television show's host and executive producer.
A Labor Day concert in Millennium Park Monday night will wrap up the weekend-long celebration of the show.
