If you get an e-mail from American Airlines, it could be part of a scheme to get your personal information.

American Airlines is warning consumers about the fraudulent emails and has posted some examples on its website. One offers a paid flight to New York if the recipient downloads the ticket. Another claims to offer $50 to take a survey.

American Airlines is warning consumers that these e-mails are not from the airline. It advises against opening any links or attachments and not to call any phone numbers offered in any unsolicited emails.
