Pivec was accused of beating Matthew Leone, a bassist in the alternative rock band Madina Lake, unconscious in the street. Police say Pivec was beating his wife in the 1300-block of West Ohio Street when Leone intervened on June 29, 2010 around 12:45 a.m.
Pivec was accused of attacking Leone and leaving him unconscious on the street. He was found not guilty by Judge Vincent Gaughan on Friday during a bench trial, according to the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.
