Chicago police say the 25-year-old victim was leaving a bar in the 700-block of North Franklin when a man approached on a bicycle and announced a robbery.
The suspect then shot the man and fled on the bike without taking any belongings.
The victim was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in good condition.
No one was in custody later Saturday.
