Fencik, who played 12 years for the Bears in the 1970s and 80s, including the 1985 world championship season, is a partner in a private equity firm. Among the board's function's is to review state lottery marketing.
Fencik was chosen by the five-member board, which was appointed by Governor Pat Quinn.
