The second game against the Nationals was scheduled for June 29, but that's the same day as the Gay Pride Parade, which drew more than one million people last year. Lakeview Alderman Tom Tunney requested the Cubs change to a double-header.
According to the Cubs, the first game of the doubleheader will be played at 12:05 p.m. The second game is scheduled to start at 6:15 p.m.
The change in game times could be seen as an olive branch from the Cubs to Tunney and Wrigleyville residents, after negotiations on a $500 million renovation plan for Wrigley Field broke down.
