Curry, a well-known political consultant was walking from a train station to a meeting in downtown Chicago when he was hit in the head by falling ice.
"I reached up and my hands were full of blood there was blood all over the sidewalk. Luckily a lot of good people helped me out," said Curry.
The ice reportedly came from a high-rise residential building near the corner of Washington and Wells.
Curry says that although he was hit in the head by the falling ice, he's lucky.
"I didn't lose consciousness but we have all read stories, these unfortunate stories of people who have died from this, so you just don't know. It is a very frightening situation," said Curry.
Curry was transported from the accident scene to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Doctors believe the ice bruised Curry's head. He is now at home resting.
Curry is a spokesman for Doug Truax, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate.
