Angelo and Dorothy Spinelli married February 3, 1937 at The Shrine of Our Lady of Pompeii.
Sunday at the very same church they were recognized at the end of mass.
He is 101 years old and she is 98.
ABC7 Eyewitness News reporter Diane Pathieu asked the secret to their longevity.
"I guess I took care of my family pretty good," Dorothy Spinelli said. "He never interfered. He never interfered. I cook what I wanted. They love it! As a matter of fact, sometimes their friends come home, and they didn't want to come home. They would just stay and eat with us. They were. It was always enough."
The Spinellis have three children and can't remember how many grandkids and great- grandkids they have.
