ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- Arlington Heights police are investigating thefts in which a man stole items from residents' front door packages.
The thefts happened between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. on June 28. Officials say the offender exited a purple Ford Explorer, driven by a different man, took a package that was at a door and dropped off an empty package that he stole from a different address in the town.
The packages contained a 12-inch digital photo frame, Shopkin Collectible dolls and $4,000 in surgical drill bits.
