Police searching for suspects in Beach Park, Wadsworth armed robberies

LAKE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in Lake County are searching for suspects believed to be responsible for a pair of recent armed robberies.

Three men wearing masks entered the Cardinal Wine and Liquor at 39172 North Sheridan Road in Beach Park at 11 p.m. on June 14, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office. They robbed two employees at gunpoint before fleeing with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Last Friday just before 2 a.m., three men wearing masks entered a BP gas station at 39105 Route 41 in Wadsworth and robbed the clerks at gunpoint. They fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police believe it is the same robbers in both incidents.
