Police investigate Aurora arson involving 12 cars

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are investigating an arson case involving 12 vehicles in suburban Aurora.

Police found the vehicles burning inside of a gated parking lot in the 600-block of Charles around 2 a.m. Saturday, officials said. Damage at the scene was valued at $48,000 and included nine sedans, two SUVs and a van.

No one was injured.

Investigators are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Aurora police at 630-256-5500.
